What I do.
Kennel Assistant

My pets.
I have three dogs and two guinea pigs. My dogs are Ashley (a 6 year-old Queensland/Australian Shepard mix), Boy Boy (a 4 year-old pure bred Australian Shepard), and Shaker (a 7 month-old pure bred Brussels Griffin shorthair). My guinea pigs, Mohawk and Sweet Pea, are both 2 years-old. I one day want to get an American Staffordshire Terrior with blue eyes. Even though the eyes are a hereditary defect, they look gorgeous to me!
My favorite thing about working at Arbor Pet Clinic.
I like working here because of Dr. Turner's expertise in exotics. It's not an everday thing for clinics to have tigers, leopards, monkeys, and baboons come in, but here we do that and I am privileged to be a part of it. Plus we get to wear jeans!

My favorite story from Arbor Pet Clinic.
When we rescued a 7 year-old Rottweiler named Scarlet. She had a prolapse and her owners weren't taking the best of care of her. So, they signed over ownership and she stayed with us for almost 5 months, and boy did I get attached to her. I almost adopted her, but unfortunately Dr. Turner and the original owners came to some sort of agreement and he allowed them to take her home. She was the biggest sweetheart and I really miss her. She was the clinic's mascot. lol. She loved everyone here as much as we loved her!

More about me.
I first started working here in June of 2004 when I was only 16 years-old and stayed for ten months. I am known as the kennel girl. I started working back here in December of 2005 and been here for almost a year! I plan to go to college soon sometime next year (2007) to become a registered vet tech, and from there I'd like to work here as long as possible. I am almost 19 years-old. I have a 6 month-old daughter named Juliana who truly is the most precious thing to me! She has such a wonderful personality! I live with my parents and my boyfriend Jason, who means a lot to me. When I was younger I always wanted to work with animals. I noticed I was always able to get along with them, so I think it's pretty cool that my first job I ever got is working at an animal clinic.
